MANGA ART FOR BEGINNERS
DIGITAL / TRADITIONAL
Set in the small ratio of students to teacher, this class offers step by step guidance for beginners interested in learning how to draw and illustrate manga characters in either traditional or digital on iPad. We'll start the fundamentals of drawing the head from various angles, followed by full body proportions and illustratiing characters in a dynamic pose. As student progresses, they will also have the opportunity to create their own unique characters and design short manga panels, allowing your creativity to flourish!
For students drawing traditionally, they will also learn basic hatching techniques and try inking their works.
For students, using iPad, they will practice drawing and painting with the digital software to familiarise themselves with the basic tools.

Non-member: $66/lesson
Member: $58/lesson or
4-Lesson Package: $208 (valid for 3 months from date of purchase)

One-time registration fee of $50 is required to join membership.
Things to prepare/bring along before if you are doing digital:
1. An iPad that is fully charged before coming to class. Students may bring along their charger.
2. Procreate should be downloaded and installed before attending the class via the App Store. (Do note that Procreate is not a free application, however it is a one-time purchase and not subscription based unlike most other softwares.)
3. Bring along a compatible digital/Apple Pencil.
The studio will not provide Wi-Fi as Procreate is able to function without internet. Students should not be using any other applications/source of entertainment in the class. Should there be any reference needed, students will have to download it before coming to class. Alternatively, the instructor may also provide printouts for reference.
