Adult Classes
How can you learn in our Fine Art Classes for Adults:
In our classes, students decide their individual subject (excluding students who will follow a curriculum in Chinese Ink) and learn on one-to-one approach. As all classes are ongoing, students are welcome to join anytime. Studio Miu Art also offers flexibility in schedule by giving students the option of coming either once a week, or book for more than one class each week - subject to availability and depending on individual’s project. Variety of Art Medium: Acrylic, oil, charcoal, pencils, pastels, watercolor, Chinese ink, mixed media, & clay. Basic materials are available at Studio Miu that students may use and share. Students are required to provide their own special materials, canvas and papers. |

About Our Artists
Junko TsujiiJunko is a Japanese artist who graduated from Kyoto City University of Art with a Master’s Degree in Fine Arts. She is an experienced teacher in pastels, charcoal drawing, watercolor, acrylic and oil painting.

Hannah TanHannah Tan is a Singaporean artist who is interested in the relationships between nature, human, science and technology. She has been doing independent study into the materiality of paint pigments before pursuing her MA Fine Arts.
Her Monday and Wednesday botanical watercolour painting class focuses on observational skills, perception of colours/forms/values and other technical skills involved in this art form, while her Thursday night class focuses on teaching materials and techniques in oil and acrylic painting, as well as in charcoal and pencil drawing. Agatha HuttonAgatha is a Singaporean artist who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (Lasalle-SIA College of the Arts). As an installation artist and painter, the beauty in nature inspires her and this is the primary subject in all her works.

Max KongMax Kong graduated with Master’s Degree in Fine Arts from Lasalle College of the Arts. He won many awards including the Platinum Award of the 28th UOB Painting of the Year Competition. He specializes in teaching acrylic and mixed media painting.

Chiho TamuraChiho is a Japanese artist who graduated from Musashino Art University with degree in Imaging Arts and Sciences. With strong background in fine arts, she specializes in painting and drawing using the mediums charcoal, pencil, oil, watercolour and acrylic, in subjects such as portraiture and still-life. She also teaches lessons in digital art and illustration.

Lim Choon Jin, a renowned local artist has been involved in countless exhibitions in Singapore. He is holding Master’s Degree in Fine Arts and Bachelor 1st Class Honors Degree in Visual Art. He conducts Modern Shanshui (Landscape) and Traditional Hua-niao (Figural works of common plants and animals) Chinese-ink Painting classes for beginner to advanced levels. Ceramic Art by Saya YamaguchiBorn in Kyoto, Yamaguchi Saya graduated with Master’s Degree in Fine Arts, Ceramic at Kyoto Seika University, Japan. Over the years, she has been a very active ceramic artist and has exhibited in numerous group and solo exhibitions in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Singapore.

Ceramic Painting by Yuko KikukawaYuko is an artist from Tokyo who graduated from Musashino Art University, and pursued studies in Ceramic Art in Kutaniyaki Technical Training Institute. In her ceramic painting class, students will get to learn underglaze painting on ceramic ware, similar to the style of watercolour painting on paper. Students may also learn overglaze painting using glassy, transparent and slightly three-dimensional overpaint on a glazed ceramic piece.

Membership fee: $50 (non-refundable and non-transferable)
Extra $5 painting materials per session.
All fees exclude consumable materials,canvas/papers/special materials, firing cost for ceramic art class.
*Sign up for a Package Card and reserve your class dates for 4 sessions. This card is valid for 3 months only.
*If you are unable to attend a class that you have booked, please inform us at least 24 hours in advance and we will be able to reschedule your class to later date.
Students may leave their artworks at the studio for drying purpose up to a maximum of 6 months.
